James started at 42 Bedford Row in June 2008 and has worked his way up from Junior Clerk to Senior Family Practice Manager, clerking the Family Group for the majority of his years spent in Chambers.
James is responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the Family Clerking Team, practice management and development of Chambers Family practitioners and for the strategic planning of the Family Group, alongside Chambers Director and the Director of Clerking. He prides himself on client care and providing a high quality service to Chambers members and clients.
James is recognised in both legal directories. Chambers & Partners describes him as 'readily available, flexible and appreciates the need for urgent representation.’ The Legal 500 also describes James as 'extremely impressive. He has his finger on the pulse at all times.’
Outside of Chambers, James enjoys football, either watching Charlton Athletic or playing for his Sunday League side, getting out on the golf course and socialising with family & friends.
