Adrian was called to the Bar in October 1990. He was a pupil at 13 King’s Bench Walk, and he was a tenant there until May 2014 when he joined 42 Bedford Row. For the first ten years of his career he had a true common law barrister’s practice working in a number of areas of law including crime (both prosecuting and defending), family, property, insolvency, commercial and personal injury. In 1999 Adrian made the decision to concentrate on civil work. Since the beginning of his career Adrian has always been fascinated by personal injury, in which he now specialises.
Outside of work Adrian enjoys reading, running and playing hockey. He is a level 1 hockey umpire and coach. He is chairman of Oxford Hawks Hockey Club and is also secretary to the Permanent Exhibition of Judicial and Legal Costume in the Royal Courts of Justice.
